Awareness Week 2009
National Awareness Week was November 9 to 14. We held our AGM on Monday 9th at the town hall. Friday evening saw the third annual Chicken Shoot Competition between the town and RM councils. This years grudge match saw them go head to head in a curling match. After a round of pregame talk, they took their skills onto centre ice. Several takeouts and draws later, the town pulled away to an 8 - 3 final score. The RM again will have the Chicken Shoot trophy for a year but this time it will grace their new building. The results are some good recognition for the foundation and some new donations.
Saturday afternoon, we hosted our Sausage BBQ at the Co-op. This allowed us to tell the public about our programs and benefits to local organizations.
